    What You Will Do

    To oversee our Accounts Receivable Department. The manager will be responsible for developing and monitoring general accounting practice, developing internal controls and helping build a strong team.  This position maintains customer reconciliations while taking ownership of the collections and overall AR process. The manager will have daily interaction with internal managements and other members of our leadership team which require strong interpersonal communication skills.

    • Perform, manage and supervise daily operation of Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Order Release and Collections team
    • Working closely with the Controller to interview, hire and train employees. Plans and assigns work. 
    • Coach and develop team members, address and resolve issues. Works directly with the Controller on performance appraisals
    • Perform credit and collection activities, keeping all accounts receivable current within agreed upon terms and percentage
    • Maintain customer accounts receivable balances, aging’s, run reports and update accounting data as needed
    • Making collection calls/reconcile accounts and enter notes in system.
    • Manage month end closing process with AR team
    • Manage Accounts Receivable by preparing and/or reviewing invoices, deposit payments, ensuring proper accounting treatment and reviewing aging reports
    • Review and determine equipment finance plans
    • Oversee and manage business sectors; government account, non-profit, college, school, etc.
    • Evaluate account credit lines, terms and fees

    What We Need In You

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, required
    • 5 years’ of experience leading, coaching, developing and managing an Accounts Receivable/Collections team of 12 staff members or more
    • Dental industry experience, preferred
    • Excellent computer skills, including accounting software experience, Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Ability to prioritize and delegate work among the team
    • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in day to day work
    • A great attitude and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure department runs smoothly, sometimes assisting in areas outside your scope of responsibility
    • The ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals at all levels within the organization
    • Able to work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgement is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations and decisions.  
    • Ability to review complex issues and make difficult decision on a daily basis. Must be able to stand behind and explain your thought process with complex decisions
