We are expanding our Sales Support team in Jericho, New York.    We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our talented and all-inclusive sales support team! As a Sales Support Specialist, you will assist a Business Development Specialist (BDS) with growing and servicing their file, daily sales support, achieving quota attainment and servicing assigned accounts.

What You Will Do

  • Build long-term customer relationships with key decision makers over the phone
  • Support assigned accounts through inbound and outbound calls, on average 60 calls per day
  • Document customer contacts and opportunities within Salesforce
  • Fulfill catalog/flyer/EDLP/sample requests
  • Process and track backorders, special orders, maintenance and release online orders, and email orders
  • Handle product issues such as defects, miss picks and short ships
  • Process credit card payments, resolve AR issues for customers, setup online accounts for customers
  • Communicate account challenges with the BDS partner such as declining or lost business
  • Partner with Business Development Specialist in driving company initiatives

What We Need In You

  • Strong phone presence, the ability to engage with potential customers over the phone and build long term relationships.
  • 1 year of experience preferably in customer service or a sales support role
  • Dental industry experience a plus
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Salesforce or CRM experience, preferred
  • Must be highly motivated, goal driven and resilient
  • The ability to problem-solve and negotiate customer conflicts
  • Must have strong attention to detail and ensure all deadlines and deliverables are met
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
